My favorite farm animal, hmm, thats a tuffy, cause I love them all, but.... if I had to pick just one, it would be Molly Moo Cow, my swiss brown, shes as gentle as a lamb, and she will let anyone handle her, first time milkers, no problem, shes a perfect teacher, my grandsons can lead her around, and play with her calves the day they are born. She loves one and all. So if I had to pick just one, it would have to be her.

The saying goes I love all my children equally - that goes for my four legged farm children. I guess if someone pointed a gun to my head or offered a free wonderful book I would have to say it is my Great Pry Dog - Kasha. She has been my heart going on ten years now and is not much longer for this world but I would lay my life down for her. She gives her all to me and those she watches over at the Funny Farm. Now don't tell any of my goats, chickens, llamas, sheep, alpacas or my two legged sons.... It will be our secret!

Blessings Grace

My favorite farm animal, it's really hard to pick! I'd have to say Ronald, one of 7 goats. He got sick 3 months ago, and has only been better a month now. He was on death's door, but with the help of a vet and me going to college to be a farm vet, he pulled through. He lived in my room for nearly 2 months, and for those 2 months he was my buddy, he slept in the same bed right by my side, and even found he loved SpongeBob lol (I'm 18 but still love cartoons lol) Even though he had a hard time he overcame his sickness and I hope we have many more with both w=me and his herd mates!

My favorite farm animal would have to be my mare Brandy. She not the prettiest gal around but is very calm and almost has a soothing quality. She's my cure for a bad day! Brandy is a do it all horse, she'll let me give kids "pony" rides or she and I can get up and go running off. :)

Hi- I found your blog off of CAF Locals!! I would say my favorite "farm" animal would be my QH Gelding, Gunner. He's a doll and so gorgeous! He is so gentle on the ground and loves his treats! He's a piggy and will lick my hands/arms/clothes until he finds something edible. lol

I would have to say goats. For me they are just the cutest, funniest, most versitile animal for a small farm. Mine are milk goats, so I get their wonderful milk most of the year. I can also make so many wonderful things with the milk. So they more than pay their way here. And I get lots of laughs from the kids, too. And we all know laughter is the best medicine. And when we have too many bucks they can go in the freezer. So they are just an all around great animal to have and my favorite.

Thanks for this great give away.

My favorite farm animal is DIFFICULT! It's like asking me which of my kids I like best! How do I pick as there are pros and cons of all that I have and we have such a wonderful symbiotic type thing working that I'm not sure I can choose which part of the system I like best. It's like asking do I like the wheels, body or engine of a tractor or truck! IF I had to choose though, I'd say the goats and horse. And now in doing so, the chickens (who are also such hard workers), dogs and cats will be disappointed it wasn't them. So please keep it a secret that I narrowed it down to 2!!! At least my goats bless me with such wonderful milk and my horse is my "soul mate" on 4 legs! (I found you on a goat list! THANK YOU!)

My goats. No wait, my turkeys. No thats not right. My hens. Or it could be my dogs. Its too hard to make a choice. They are all my 'kids'. :)

My favorite farm animal is the one I go to see the first thing in the morning: My Goat, Many Troubles.

Her name may sound like a warning, but she is absolutely wonderful. She is there at the gate, waiting for me to bring her grain. She hops up on her milking stand, puts her head in the stanchion, and nibbles away while I milk her.

After I've taken the milk inside to chill, I come back out to fill her water bucket, check the grain, hay, and alfalfa buckets for both of the goats (my second favorite farm animal is Bow Tie, our buckling), and then I brush out Trub and Bow, just because they're so sweet and soft and warm.
